Peter Murr, M.D.
Dr. Murr is a lifelong NJ resident who was accepted into the accelerated BA/MD program at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School while completing a double major in Chemistry and Cell Biology & Neuroscience at Rutgers. Dr. Murr completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico, before completing Ophthalmology residency at Medstar Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.
Dr. Murr is board eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Murr has recently joined Santamaria Eye Center, where he is provides general ophthalmology services, cataract surgery (including premium lenses) surgeries, pterygium surgery, LASIK and PRK, and in-office procedures like YAG laser capsulotomy, and minor eyelid procedures including chalazion excisions. He speaks Spanish (proficient) and Mandarin (intermediate).
